I went to Toledo, Ohio this weekend with the family to visit some family friends and pick up my brother in Ann Arbor, which is like 45 min from Toledo. It was a good time, I took somre more pretty coo pictures and went to the art museum and did fun stuff and such. One more week of work. It's going to suck but I'm looking forward to 2 weeks of doing nothing before I go back to school. I can't wait to be back in Champaign. I loves me some college... anyway here are some pictures I took this weekend. Enjoysies...
We went to this butterfly house place that is basically a green house with plants and such and butterflies flying around everywhere. Taking pictures of butterflies isn't my usual style but I was there and it was fun at the time. I actually got some pretty nice looking shots. Though my camera isn't so great in getting fancy with the manual settings the close up ability is really nice. Guess which butterfly I used 14 layers in photoshop on?

Life is too short to be spent listening to crappy music
I'm very thankful for my ipod at work lately. Though since Robert left Groove 92.5- the bane of my existance (that might actually be their slogan) has been played less freequently but Mix 96 is still no picnic. We've gone from rap to adult 90s contemporary. Thankfully I shut out the terrible sounds of the 90s with sweet bliss from the ipod. Life is deffinately too short to be spent listening to crappy music. It's a terrible thing. When I got home my little cousin Addison was over (she is, in fact, a QT 3.1415927). So here's a special picture...

oh no
Damn it, a blog... I think I'll use this mostly for posting pictures- since thats an acceptable use. Word...
"Back when you're a kid, you never think to yourself- I want to grow up to be a janitor." I think that would be a sweet first line to a book or something. I don't really know what it would be about but I want to be able to produce something creative from my summer working as a janitor. It pretty much sucks but we're pretty lazy so that isn't bad. I get in few minutes after 6 am every morning and then most days we watch the news for about a half hour before actually starting work. We take a lot of breaks and lately I've been watching an episode and a half of Star Trek on channel 33 every day on my lunch break. Maybe in the book the main character (who would be mostly based on me except without any prospects of getting out of being a janitor for the rest of his life) could go on some kind of emotional journey as he is stripping a floor. Every layer of wax that gets stripped off could be a metaphor for a year of his life spent in his dead end job and once he finally reaches the tile underneath- he makes a self discovery. Never mind. I like the first line though...
