Cruisin' Along The Illinois River

Coming home from visiting my girlfriend in Edwardsville, IL just outside St. Louis, we stopped at her roomate's graduation party in Lacon, IL, which is north of Peoria on the Illinois River. To get home back to Rock Island, I cut up along the river until I hit I-80. Cruisin' north on almost deserted highway through little towns during sunset was a very welcome change to all the interstate driving I'm used to. Hopefully these photos express some of the beauty I found in my drive.

First Impressions

I've been hanging out with Brad in Hutchinson, KS for the last few days. I'll put up more photos soon, but here are a few of my first impressions of the place. It really struck me how everything is so open under the huge Kansas sky and so these are a few shots trying to capture that feeling.
