Grilled Cheese and Boca Hash

In order to keep the blog fresh, I decided to post a food photo, a la Brad Vest. Here's my lunch for today- grilled cheese on 9 grain bread with Boca hash (pan-fried shredded Boca Burger and potatoes O'Brien with spices). If none of my friends and I can find jobs, we should just start a public access digital photography/cooking show.

This weekend I headed down to SIUE to visit my girlfriend Emalie and shot Rock The Dock, an annual live music event on campus. She was in charge of booking all the bands for the show and spent a lot of time putting it together so I helped her out shooting it in exchange for a few beers. Although the event is called, "Rock the Dock," you might notice that the bands are, in fact, performing on a basketball court and not a dock. There is a little pond with a dock on it sort of between where the bands were playing and the residence hall next to it, hence the name. Regardless of whether the rocking was going on specifically on the dock or not, it was a fun time with some good music of all different styles. These are a few of my favorite shots from the evening.
